About the Berkeley Language Institute (BLI)

Berkeley Language Institute (BLI) was founded in 2006 by Francine Kuipers and Mateo Rutherford, with the assistance of Angela Zawadzki (click on their names to learn more about the founders of BLI).

Berkeley Language Institute offers evaluation and training in translation, interpreting, transcription, linguistic and cultural competency, as well as language classes.

The  workshops are held in the context of continuing education for professional linguists,  and for bilingual individuals who wish to enter the translation and interpretation fields

Berkeley Language Institute is a sister company of Accent on Languages Inc., a translation and interpreting services agency founded by Francine Kuipers in 1997.
